Hi Friends

Quick one today as I’m trying to get a tan in this glorious weather.

And yet, just last week I was dressed up like a Eskimo - That’s Great Britain for you

Now, after my prediction in last week’s newsletter, did you listen, take note and run to the bookies?

Sadly, I didn’t listen to myself so haven’t prospered from that pick, other than to sit in the warm glow of satisfaction for being right.

So what can we learn from Rory’s victory?

I think the biggest take away is you don’t have to play your best to win.

Rory wasn’t at his best and probably should’ve won on the Sunday and not needed a play off.

But he got the job done.

We are always striving for our best golf. We know its in there somewhere, so we toil and search and strive to find it, but sometimes it pays to just relax and play with what you have that day.

A saying I really like is.

Your ships sail in on a calm sea.
