New Post #28 Monday Majors
The Golfing majors of 2025

Hi Friends
Lovely weather we are having at the moment, what with Storm Eowyn and now Storm Herminia hitting these shores,

Golf In the UK in January
So it isn’t really the best weather for golf (or anything else) but fear not it’s only 75 days until the Masters and the the start of the golf season.

The one we all know every hole on the course
So where and when are the golfing majors this year?
The Masters comes long first, as always, starting April 10th and I think we all know where that is played.

1989 Masters, The first golf tournament I watched on TV
Next is the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow - starting 15th May

The one with the stream down the middle of the 18th hole
This is what Rory says about Quail Hollow having won there 4 times,
“I LOVE COMING TO QUAIL HOLLOW. I LOVE THE PEOPLE, THE GOLF COURSE, AND OF COURSE THE WINNING!”
Rory McIlroy
So maybe put a few shekels on him to win there this May.
3rd is the US Open this year being held at Oakmont Country Club, starting on the 12th June.

The one with the Church pew bunkers
Last time the US Open was held at Oakmont was in 2016 with Dustin Johnson coming out on top.
Lastly my favourite The Open which is being held at Royal Portrush starting July 17th

The one where Shane Lowry won
Side note: Americans will call this the British Open but Portush isn’t in Great Britain.
The other major championship I’ll mention, is the (British) Senior Open and the reason I mention it, is it is being held at the lovely Sunningdale Golf club starting on 24th July.

The one with the big tree
Thanks for reading and see you next tuesday 😉 or actually tmrw for another Technique Tuesday.
